Terms of Service — Acedemy
Last updated: September 17, 2026
Acedemy ("Acedemy," "we," "us") provides a test-preparation web application at acedemy.app. By using Acedemy you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Who may use Acedemy
Acedemy is built for students preparing for the SSAT, ISEE, and SAT, and for the parents and guardians who support them.
- Under 13. Children under 13 may use Acedemy only through an account created and managed by a parent or legal guardian. If you are under 13, do not create an account yourself.
- 13 to 17. If you are between 13 and 17, you may use Acedemy only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian, and that parent or guardian agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
- 18 and over. You may use Acedemy on your own behalf.
- Paid plans. Only a person 18 or older may purchase a subscription.
If we learn that a child under 13 has created an account without a parent or guardian, we will delete that account and its data.
2. Your account
You may use Acedemy without creating an account. In that case your progress is stored only on the device you are using and can be lost if you clear your browser data or switch devices.
When you create an account (Google sign-in, Apple sign-in, or an emailed sign-in link), your existing progress is carried over to that account.
You are responsible for keeping access to your sign-in method secure and for activity that happens under your account.
3. Free and paid features
Acedemy has a free tier and a paid subscription.
Free includes the placement test, the daily practice set, level progression, your progress screen, and — after a wrong answer — the correct answer with a brief reason.
Paid includes step-by-step solutions (including an explanation of why the answer you chose was wrong), unlimited timed practice, the full level ladder, and the parent report.
We may change what is included in each tier. If a change materially reduces what you paid for, we will tell you before it takes effect on your subscription.
4. Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation
- Plans are offered monthly, 3-month, and 6-month, and are billed in advance.
- Paddle.com Market Ltd is the merchant of record for all purchases. Paddle handles payment, invoicing, and applicable taxes, and its terms also apply to the transaction. Your card statement may show a Paddle descriptor.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each term at the then-current price until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops the next renewal; your paid access continues to the end of the term you already paid for.
- Prices are shown before you pay. Taxes may be added where required.
- If a payment fails, we may suspend paid features until payment succeeds.
5. Refunds
You may request a full refund within 7 days of any charge, for any reason. Email juoh84@gmail.com from the address on your account and we will refund the charge.
After 7 days, charges are non-refundable except where required by law. We do not offer score-improvement guarantees, and no refund is conditioned on your test results.
6. What Acedemy does not promise
Acedemy is practice material and study tools. We do not guarantee any score, score improvement, percentile, or admission outcome.
Any predicted score or percentile shown in the app is an estimate calculated from your answers inside Acedemy. It is not an official score, not a prediction of your real test result, and should not be used to make admissions decisions.
Our content is written by Acedemy. It is not licensed from, reviewed by, or endorsed by any testing organization.
7. Trademarks
SSAT® is a registered trademark of The Enrollment Management Association. ISEE® is a registered trademark of the Educational Records Bureau. SAT® and PSAT® are registered trademarks of the College Board. None of these organizations sponsor, endorse, or are affiliated with Acedemy. We use these names only to describe which tests our material prepares you for.
8. Acceptable use
Do not:
- copy, scrape, resell, or redistribute Acedemy's questions, explanations, or word lists;
- share one account among multiple students (each student needs their own; see our family option);
- attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service;
- use Acedemy to build a competing product or to train a machine-learning model.
We may suspend or close accounts that do these things.
9. Your content
Anything you type into Acedemy — scratch-pad drawings, answers, notes — stays yours. We use it only to run the service (scoring, progress, your reports). We do not publish it.
10. Parent reports
A parent report is reachable through a private link. Anyone who has that link can open the report without signing in. Share it only with people you want to see the student's progress. You can ask us to invalidate a link at any time.
11. Availability
Acedemy is provided "as is." We try to keep it running and accurate, but we do not promise uninterrupted service, and content may contain errors. Tell us about errors at juoh84@gmail.com and we will correct them.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to Acedemy is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
12. Ending your use
You may stop using Acedemy and delete your account at any time. We may end or suspend your access if you break these Terms.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change is significant, we will notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Acedemy after that means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here removes consumer-protection rights you have under the law where you live.
